Recognizing the desperate need for osteosarcoma research after three children in our small community were diagnosed with bone cancer, Battle Osteosarcoma was formed. Ultimately, our battles with osteosarcoma resulted in unimaginable tragedy and heartbreak, losing Charlotte, Dylan, and Tyler to metastatic osteosarcoma. Yet their memories gave us the resolve to make headway against osteosarcoma.

We are often asked “how do you stay close to this disease after all the heartbreak it’s brought?” Our answer is simple: we do it to honor our children and for the many children and their families affected by osteosarcoma. We are deeply inspired by the strength and courage shown by our kids during their cancer journeys, which fuels our passion and determination.

With the generous support of our donors, Battle Osteosarcoma has funded $2.4 million for osteosarcoma research. We are incredibly grateful for the hundreds of donors who’ve made this funding possible. Since its inception, Battle Osteosarcoma has put an emphasis on innovation, collaboration, and efficiency. We minimize our operating costs and amplify our impact by partnering with national pediatric cancer non-profits.
