Our work

Funding osteosarcoma research is what we do. With the generous support of our donors, Battle Osteosarcoma has raised $2.4 million for osteosarcoma research. We are incredibly grateful for the hundreds of donors who have made this funding possible. Because of your generous support, we are beginning to see the first real progress in decades. Since its inception, Battle Osteosarcoma has emphasized innovation, collaboration, and efficiency. We minimize our operating costs and amplify our impact by partnering with national pediatric cancer non-profits. Because of these strategic partnerships, 99% of funds raised have gone directly to research.

Our Strategic Partners

St. Baldrick’s Foundation

The largest non-government funder of pediatric cancer research, St. Baldrick’s Foundation has been a strategic partner to Battle Osteosarcoma both in selecting our grant recipients via their robust scientific review process and in supporting our fundraising efforts with donor management.

MIB Agents Osteosarcoma Alliance

A leading pediatric osteosarcoma nonprofit, MIB Agents is dedicated to making it better for the osteosarcoma community of patients, families, medical professionals, researchers, and industry partners through programs, education, and research. Proceeds from our annual Hillsborough Battles Osteo 5K and September Childhood Cancer Awareness gold bow sales support both patient programs and osteosarcoma research.

Our funding has allowed labs around the world to make important discoveries toward better treatment options and, ultimately, a cure. In addition to supporting preclinical and translational research and clinical trials, we also invest in the next generation of osteosarcoma researchers, which is essential to build a talent pipeline for osteosarcoma research.

The impact of Battle Osteosarcoma’s funding goes far beyond the grants we have funded. Data generated from Battle Osteosarcoma grants have enabled investigators to secure additional funding, amplifying our impact.
